Updating your Aadhaar card address online.
- Visit the MyAadhaar Portal: Go to the official UIDAI website at [https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/].
- Log In: Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the captcha code. Click “Send OTP” to receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to log in.
- Select ‘Update Aadhaar Online’: After logging in, click on the “Update Aadhaar Online” option.
- Choose ‘Address’: In the update section, select “Address” to proceed with updating your address details.
- Enter New Address: Fill in your new address information accurately. Ensure all details match your supporting documents.
- Upload Supporting Documents: Provide a scanned copy of a valid address proof document, such as a passport, bank statement, voter ID, or utility bill.
- Review and Submit: Double-check all entered information for accuracy. After confirming, submit your request.
- Pay the Update Fee: A nominal fee of ₹50 is charged for the address update service. You can pay this online through various payment methods.
- Save the Acknowledgment: After submission, you’ll receive a Service Request Number (SRN). Keep this number to track the status of your update request.
- Check Update Status: You can monitor the progress of your address update by logging into the MyAadhaar portal and entering your SRN.
Please note that your mobile number must be registered with Aadhaar to receive the OTP required for login. The update process may take up to 30 days. Once approved, you can download the updated Aadhaar card from the UIDAI website.
