IMD Alert: Heavy Rainfall and 70 km/h Winds Forecast for These Indian States

Heavy Rain Alert: Several Indian states are still experiencing rain. The Meteorological Department said it could witness strong to extremely severe rains in many locations during the next five days. Rain, thunder, and lightning are all possible in South Peninsular India and nearby Central India.

The Meteorological Department says rain and strong winds could persist for the next five days across Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, and Sikkim.

Several areas of Northeast India could experience severe winds of 30 to 50 kmph, lightning, and rain over the next five days, according to the Meteorological Department.

The Meteorological Department says there is a chance of rain in some parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu over the next three to four days. In addition, thunderstorms and strong to extremely heavy rain are possible in Sikkim, Northeast India, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

Heavy rains may fall in a number of Arunachal Pradesh regions between May 15 and May 18. Furthermore, rain and strong gusts can persist in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

In Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, strong winds of 30 to 50 kmph to 70 kmph, lightning, and thunderstorms are probable from May 15 to 18.
