Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest film, Sikandar, is set to hit theatres on March 30. Ahead of its release, the makers have unveiled the track Zohra Jabeen on social media. While the song is a visual and musical delight—featuring Salman Khan’s signature style and dynamic dance moves alongside Rashmika Mandanna’s electrifying energy—it has also sparked controversy online.
Social media users are alleging that the song bears a striking resemblance to a track from a Bangladeshi film. A viral post on X compares scenes from Zohra Jabeen with a song featuring Bangladeshi actor Shakib Khan, pointing out uncanny similarities in the outfits and dance steps. The post further claims that the Bangladeshi song was released in 2023.
This controversy has divided netizens. Devoted fans of Salman Khan have defended the song, dismissing the claims. One user commented, “Mtlb costume thoda bhut similar ho gyi toh song same ho gyi? Hr jagah gawarpanti kyun show krte ho bhai.” Another sarcastically remarked, “Wow! Dude watches Bangladeshi movies a lot, huh?”
Others, however, found humor in the situation. One user quipped, “Kya din aa gaye hain, Bangladeshia ko copy karna pad raha hai,” while another joked, “Costume bhi same… but couldn’t copy the dance steps due to extreme old age.”
Zohra Jabeen is penned by Sameer and Danish Sabri, with music composed by Pritam. The song is sung by Nakash Aziz and Dev Negi, while the rap section is written and performed by Mellow D.
Sikandar features Salman Khan in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film is one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
